What an incredibly talented musician Clare is. She played at my wedding and I had so many compliments about her style and ability. We were thrilled to hire her and would do so again!” - Roberto Porco (& husband Glenn)
Clare played for our wedding and was wonderful - we chatted ahead of time so she could arrange a playlist that suited our needs and she was very open and accommodating to our requests. Absolutely no complaints and would highly recommend! Thank you again Clare for making our day that much more special.” - Amanda (& wife Lynn)
We had the pleasure of having Clare perform solo at my brother's wedding. She arrived on time to set herself up and played for the guests as they arrived. Once the bride was ready to walk down the aisle, Clare played a beautiful rendition of Pachelbel's Canon. She continued to play during the cocktail hour. Clare's demeanour the entire time was very professional and her dedication to her craft can be heard through her music. She was a joy to listen to. I highly recommend Clare for any event you need a dependable and professional musician for.” - Tamara Massaro-Scott

Weddings: For the ceremony, I will play a 20-minute prelude, entrance (different songs for bridesmaids and brides, etc. if requested), signing of the registry, and recessional. I am familiar with church music and with the full Catholic Mass. For religious ceremonies, it is preferable for me to work with the music director at your place of worship. (Please see the bottom of the repertoire list for more info re: religious ceremonies.)

Cocktail Hour: I will play one full hour, in whatever style you request (classical, pop, world music, or improv to dance tracks). You can also request a mix of styles, or specify whether you prefer a calm, sophisticated mood, or a more upbeat, dancing mood. I can also add some Celtic tunes, or some Indian, Arabic, East-Asian, or reggae sounds.

Receptions or Corporate Events: See cocktail hour above, except that for bookings of more than one hour, I will take a 10-minute break for each hour. The maximum booking for receptions is 3 hours. I can cover the breaks with appropriate music for the event (wedding, classical, classic jazz, pop, dance) with a playlist through my amp, or allow the DJ to cover the breaks, as preferred.

Special Requests: I am open to a few new requests per event, and can arrange most songs for solo violin. It is not guaranteed that all requests will have backing tracks, but I will do my best to make them sound beautiful.

Technical and setup requirements: I perform solo, acoustic or with my own amplifier and backing tracks. If the venue is very large and there will be a sound technician, I will need to connect my iPhone for backing tracks, and an iSolo mic receiver with preamp. If the event is outdoors, I must be covered if there is rain or shaded from extreme sun to protect the violin and equipment (the equipment can malfunction or shut down in extreme sun!). If the event will be on grass or earth, please advise to allow for appropriate footwear, and provide a chair for me to set my case on. I can dress in black or colour, as preferred.

Religious music:

It is preferable for me to coordinate with the music director at your place of worship if I will be playing liturgical music in a religious service. I am most familiar with Catholic music and services (I am also a cantor at St. Joseph’s Basilica in Edmonton), but I have also performed at Anglican, United, Unitarian, and Gospel churches, and know some Hillsong Worship songs, such as:

What a Beautiful Name

Gratitude

Praise

10 000 Reasons

Yeshua

Oceans

How Great Is Our God

Goodness of God

Worthy

The Blessing

Reckless Love

I am happy to learn new music, and to coordinate with the organist/ pianist/ band / musicians/ cantor at your place of worship! Please note that some denominations do not permit secular music in services - please check with the officiant/ music director.
